Healthy Meal Plans and Snacks
Our facility offers before- and after-school care, as well as vacation care, for up to 30 primary school-aged children per day. We provide each child with a healthy breakfast in the morning, a nutritious hot meal in the afternoon and fruits and vegetables that they can choose to snack on all day.
Having Fun Every Day
We provide a fun-filled educational program that is based on the child’s individual interests, wants and needs. We want all of the children in our care to have fun and enjoy being at Our Happy Haven. What better way to do that then to empower the children to plan the activities that they like best.
Empowering Our Youth
We focus on bringing out the best in each child, and our team aims to build confident young people. Not only do we allow the children to be a part of most of the decision-making, but we also encourage it. We give them the autonomy to make decisions about our program, including the menu, our activities, our setup and our holiday programs.
Local Shuttle Service
Being located off-site, we provide a bus service to and from the local primary schools that we serve within our local area. The children in the community love our buses, and parents have often called us to enrol just because their child wants to go on the Our Happy Haven buses.

Identifying Our Local Challenges
Knowing our community as well as we do, we understand the gaps and barriers many of our children and families are facing. Some are faced with things like financial difficulties and hardship, abuse or trauma, mental health issues, behavioural challenges, early disengagement at school, etc.
Making Our Community Better
Our Happy Haven is currently working towards bridging some of those gaps by offering services such as homework assistance, tutoring, counselling, etc. We also offer after-school activities that working families may not be able to do with their children as many simply cannot afford the expense. To do this, we need your help.
How You Can Help Us Serve
We are looking for donations, either financial or material, as well as volunteers with the required skillsets to help improve the facilities or manage our programs and services. We also need help with our fundraising activities and always welcome bright, new ideas to assist us in making our next big step in supporting our community's children and their families.
What Is Our Bottom Line
We want all of our community's children, and their families, to feel like we are a safe place of understanding where they can seek assistance, if required, without the fear or judgement.
